Things to see/ to do

You will discover many little villages, it's a tour of around 49,4  km  (mountain km!)  that you could do within few days depending and your ability. Or you could do part of the route and discover the  exceptionnal Prieuré de Serrabone. Not forgetting the 11th century church St Saturnin of our village and nearby the bridge "D'en Xandre"  or the ancient Prunet  and Belpuig medieval castle with its exceptional views.

 

You can choose your own way to walk the Canigou. The map provided by the  Canigou Grand Site  is just excellent. You  will identify , depending on your ability, which way is the most appropriate

 

 

The village of Boule d'Amont is surrounded by  5 oratories, you can do a tour in few hours. They are not an exceptional monuments but it's a nice way to discover great view points on the village. Some parts of the way require good walking boots because of the uneven path.

 

The fishing association is really well organised,  the web site is also in English. You can pay on-line your fishing card. Here the different cards available ( per day, for kids, ....) .

 

 

It's a little trip to 4 hours driving that brings you to a great typical Spanish area. If you travel around the 15 Th of August, you will have " fêtes" everywhere , lot of artwork fairs, lot of great meals ... a nice moment  and the landscape is just wonderful.

 

 

 

Perpignan is a nice city to spend a day, the historical center has various museums,historical monuments (Le Castillet, Palais des Rois de Majorqueere) and  little shops where you would find great presents.
